Wes Wetherell Quarter Horses, LLC consists of a 20 acre full service facility in
Purcell, OK, within easy distance to the major Quarter Horse and Paint shows.
We are also conveniently located with regards to the airport, just 30 minutes
south of Oklahoma City, 3 miles off of Interstate I-35.

 

The entire 20 acres is fenced and crossed fenced with pipe and cable.
This allows for numerous pastures and turn out paddocks for the horses.
The center of the facility is a 132x120 Morton barn boasting a: 14 stall show barn,
a 13 stall mare motel, complete breeding lab, stocks, and a 60x120 indoor arena.
Having all that under one roof, allows for year round riding regardless of the weather.
In addition, there is a large outdoor riding arena, hot walker, hay barn, and round pen.

 

 

Wes specializing in Western Pleasure, Western Riding & Reining. Wes
He is a member of AQHA, AQHA Professional Horseman‘s Association,
National Reining Horse Association, National Snaffle Bit Association,
Oklahoma QHA, Kansas QHA & Nebraska QHA.

 

Wes has trained numerous AQHA top ten finishers at the AQHA World Show and the Congress. In addition, over 60 ApHC World and National Champions have been trained at WWQH. He has also trained World and National Champions in the Western Pleasure,
Western Riding, English Events, Halter & Reining.

 

Wes Wetherell Quarter Horses is a full service equine facility.
We work with each client and horse to develop a program tailored to the individual's goals.

All-around and specialty event instruction for Youth and Amateur

Private Sales and Professional Sales Preparation

 

Wes prides himself on his integrity with his clients and their horses.
He limits his outside horses to approximately 10.
This ensures that clients and horses get the time and attention they deserve.
Wes has trained up to 30 horses at once and had 2 assistants at a time.
Through trials and turbulations, he has decided that bigger isn‘t always better.
He no longer employs any assistants, your horse is rode by the boss.
Due to the small number of horses that are accepted into the program there is usually
a waiting list, especially in the fall when the yearlings start to arrive.

In addition to ethical training practices, the care your horse receives is the top of the industry.

Wes has worked diligently to build a network of trusted professionals over the years.

We entrust our farrier work to Mark Milster, 2001 World Champion Farrier.
Mark Milster is literally, one of the World‘s Greatest farriers. Our horses are so fortunate to have him. Mark spends a lot of his time traveling the World giving clinics and competing in competitions. He has been the official AQHA farrier clinician at numerous AQHA Events.

Our veterinarian is Dr. Patrick Young, "The Athletic Horse"
Dr. Young is one of the area‘s top veterinarians.
He has state of the art equipment and is within 5 minutes of the farm.
